9/11: Clinton will testify - but what about Double-face?

AP reported this morning, it may be testimony time for President Bush and Vice President Cheney. The federal commission investigating the 9/11 attacks "will soon ask President Bush , former President Bill Clinton and their vice presidents to testify in public about possible warnings they might have received from U.S. intelligence sources before the attacks." Commission chairman, former New Jersey Gov. Tom Kean, said, "the panel would issue formal invitations within the next few weeks, although he conceded that all four men would probably decline to be questioned at a public forum." President Clinton "has previously said that he would be willing to testify." However, President Bush has been much more reluctant. On Meet the Press last week, when asked if he would submit to questions from the panel, replied merely, "Perhaps, perhaps." And Bush said in an NBC interview last week that he would "perhaps" submit to questions from the commission. And White House spokesperson Pam Stevens wasn't any more forthcoming, saying "she did not know whether Bush would agree to testify or be interviewed."  article
