Ralph Nader declares candidacy

Ralph is running again. This time as an independent. He's on the mark with his complaints about the two party system, but if we had instant runoff elections, it would both solve the problem and not leave us with the situation we had last time when Nader's votes were credited with allowing Bush to gain office. They didn't, of course - that was the Supreme Court that permitted that.

And since when does the judicial department decide elections in this country? The vote of the people is supposed to do that. Why wasn't there a country-wide uproar over that? What was the all-fired hurry to decide who won? No one was going to take office until the end of January anyway. And so what if we even had to wait longer than that (which we wouldn't have)? The people's votes decide an election. Or they used to. Well, they're supposed to.

Instant runoff voting. End of problem. Except for vote counting fraud and corruption...

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
