New York City Council Rejects Patriot Act

New York City yesterday became the 251st "civil liberties safe zone" when its City Council passed a resolution rejecting portions of the Patriot Act.  article

Libraries were the first to resist PATRIOT Act infringements on the right to privacy. And, from my records, Arcata, CA, was among the first of the municipalities to pass ordinances contravening the Act.

Honoring all who resist. Keeping track here.
