The stuff that makes wars not only possible, but likely.
The US suspects that Iran is using a civilian nuclear programme as a cover for developing nuclear weapons - a charge that Tehran has often denied.
Mr Kharrazi said Iran would not give up its nuclear programme, which he called a matter of "national pride".
"The Iranian people are not ready to compromise on their national interests," IRNA quoted him as saying. article
Obviously, it could be argued to be in their national interest to continue to develop nuclear energy. The latest deal about preventing countries (other than our own, and our pals, of course) from continuing to develop their nuclear energy programs is completely unacceptable. Personally, I think a nuclear energy program is a bad idea for any country. But, it's an outrage to think that we may develop ours while refusing the same right to anyone else.
But, hey, that's us in a nutshell.
Washington said it would give Iran more time to fully disclose its nuclear activities before deciding whether to refer the issue to the United Nations Security Council.
More time?! More time?! Good lord, they could be thinking about developing a WMD program to use in an attack on us!
Has Lying Fratboy Flymonkey lost his mind?!
Twice in the past month Russia has dealt a blow to the Bush administration's efforts to limit the spread of nuclear fuels and curtail trafficking in weapons of mass destruction.
Russia's nuclear energy minister confirmed Friday that Moscow will override U.S. objections and ship nuclear fuel to a Russian-built reactor in Iran.
An agreement with Tehran should be complete "in about two weeks," said the minister, Alexander Rumyantsev. He expects to sign the accord when he visits the Bushehr reactor next month. article
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
