In response to a Vheadline article about a Miami Herald editorial proposing the U.S. give asylum to two men wanted in Venezuela for acts of terrorism, a reader comments on the remarks by the Herald considering whether the two men might be executed if they were returned to Venezuela.

Great article ... I would like to note only one thing.
These two individuals will not be executed in Venezuela.
There is no death penalty in Venezuela.
Please keep the good work.

Editor's Note: Yes, Roberto, we are very well aware that the death penalty does not exist in Venezuela ... it's a fact that apparently has escaped the investigative journalism capabilities of the Miami Herald editorial (?) contributors and their sub-editors. Maybe its because the poor fellows are confused by Florida's own sorry record in prison executions? The again, we could look at the record of a President whose concern for human life and safety is such a well-recorded fact to the world. Hmmm. VHeadline article
Previous post on the situation.
More on Venezuela.
