Heads up Caribbean

Just in case there are any YWA readers in the Caribbean:

A shipment of reprocessed nuclear waste is passing through the Caribbean on its way to Japan, officials said Tuesday.

The Pacific Sandpiper, a British freighter, is carrying the waste in 132 reinforced steel and aluminum casks, said Gavin Carter, a spokesman for British Nuclear Fuels Ltd., which carries out the shipments.

The ship left Cherbourg, France, on Jan. 19 and is expected in Japan by mid-March, Carter said. It has passed Puerto Rico and is due to reach the Panama Canal within the next few days, he said.

Okay, now a question for you Caribbeaners (carabiners? carob beaners?)...Any jobs in your area for a whacko librul who knows how to live on the cheap and is longing for a warm ocean beach?
