Did you miss the Superbowl?

MTV, which produced the show, had promised beforehand that Jackson's program would contain "shocking moments".

After the broadcast, viewer complaints poured into CBS and the Federal Communications Commission.

"Like millions of Americans, my family and I gathered around the television for a celebration," commission chairman Michael Powell said. "Instead, that celebration was tainted by a classless, crass and deplorable stunt."

I wonder if any official would have complained if not for the moment of the boob exposure.

MTV said in its apology that the incident "was unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional and was inconsistent with assurances we had about the content of the performance".

The Parents Television Council said the Super Bowl incident was no accident.

I'm going to have to agree with the PTC on this one. That nice little nipple adornment was there for a reason. And who's MTV trying to fool when they already "promised beforehand" some "shocking moments"?

And give me a break, CBS. What are you asking for from Janet and Timberlake singing "Rock Your Body"? You know you're going to get something that isn't exactly Mr. Rogers. I understand it was pretty "grinding" even without the flagranté moment. And the ads they say were shown apparently weren't much tamer from what I've read.

One final word to Mr. Powell....if one little boob is the difference between classy and classless, we have a lot more serious problem facing us.

The only place that's true is in the oval office.

Now get out there and impeach him.

...or do what you want, you will anyway....

P.S. If you missed it, here's all you wanted to see anyway. (Photo of Miss Janet's tit.) Now we can all die happy.

P.P.S. Here's Bob's rendition.
