And I’m pretty sure Bernanke isn’t coming down to Texas any time soon.
Tony Fratto, the former deputy press secretary to George W Bush, described the remarks as "inappropriate and unpresidential". Nouriel Roubini, the economics professor dubbed Dr Doom, also weighed in, tweeting that the "Texan thug" was making "murder threats" against Bernanke.
Yeah, Rick won’t be around the presidential campaign long. He may well be right about the Fed, but he’s truly outgunned there. He should have consulted with Fred Thompson. The Sheriff’s-back-in-town routine doesn’t play well in the real power circles.
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
