In an earlier post (Jan 02), I talked about the difficulty of publicly disagreeing with Israeli policy without being shouted down as anti-Semitic, and how Joel Mowbray, in a column of his, extended that problem to disagreeing with neoconvict policy.
I sent an e-mail to Mowbray at the time to ask what word I could use to replace neocon when I wanted to talk about their policy, since he had established the "fact" that neocon is simply a "codeword" for Jew.
He hasn't replied.
But Josh Marshall has now taken on Mowbray's assertions in his own blog, so perhaps we will hear from Mr. Mowbray on the subject again. Marshall also includes some remarks about a similar anti-neocon = anti-semitism article by David Brooks of the Times: (con is short for "conservative" and neo is short for "Jewish")
As Maru says: Jebus, Mary and Joe Lieberman on a stick!
WTF?!?
