Q: He was seen in a military uniform when he was giving these speeches. And is it harmful to have these kind of statements out, especially in an effort to win the hearts and minds of the Muslim population?
Rumsfeld: There are a lot of things that are said by people in the military, or civilian life, or in the Congress, or in the executive branch that are their views. And that's the way we live. We're a free people. And that's the wonderful thing about our country. And I think that for anyone to run around and think that that can be managed and controlled is probably wrong.

Capitol Hill Blue is reporting that Boykin is taking fire for his comments. I should hope.
In one speech, Boykin recalled a Muslim fighter in Somalia who said U.S. forces would never get him because Allah would give him protection. "Well, you know what I knew, that my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God, and his was an idol," Boykin told his audience.
In his statement, Boykin said his comments about that Muslim fighter "were not referencing his worship of Allah but his worship of money and power; idolatry. He was a corrupt man, not a follower of Islam."
Oh bullshit, General! The man said his god, Allah, would protect him. And your response was that your god was bigger than his god. You know damned well that Muslims are not referring to money when they use the name Allah. You, sir, are another slimey, back-peddling weasel who can spout extreme shit and, when caught, don't have the guts to either admit you were wrong or stand up for what you said. Instead, you're going to offer a pathetic "sincere" apology to "those who have been offended" as though it's their fault for misconstruing what you said. Weak. You and your bully god. The bully god of bullshit.
"In my view they are simply terrorists, much like the so-called 'Christians' of the white supremacy groups, or extremist (sic) of any faith," Boykin said.
Like yourself, for instance?
"I am neither a zealot nor an extremist. Only a soldier who has an abiding faith," said Boykin, deputy undersecretary of defense for intelligence and war-fighting support.
Was it, or was it not, you who said this...
“Well, is he [bin Laden] the enemy? Next slide. Or is this man [Saddam] the enemy? The enemy is none of these people I have showed you here. The enemy is a spiritual enemy. He’s called the principality of darkness. The enemy is a guy called Satan.”
Why are terrorists out to destroy the United States? Boykin said: “They’re after us because we’re a Christian nation.”
Maybe, General, you need to explain to me what the meaning of "extremist" is.
....but hey, you know what? Do what you want....you will anyway.
