I think the saying is: Put up or shut up

From MSNBC today:

The head of the federal panel investigating the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks said the Bush administration was continuing to withhold several classified intelligence documents and he was ready to subpoena the documents unless they were turned over soon... “I will not stand for it,” Kean told the Times... [He] said he had not yet explicitly threatened the White House with a subpoena... But he told the Times that “it’s always on the table, because they know that Congress in their wisdom gave us the power to subpoena, to use it if necessary.”

...A White House spokeswoman, Ashley Snee, told the newspaper that the White House thought it was being cooperative with the commission.

Having a little communication problem are we?

Never mind the bit about Congress' wisdom, the salient point is that you do in fact have the power to subponea.

It's been two years. How long are you going to wait before you decide a subpoena is necessary, Mr. Kean?

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
