The Guardian Unlimited lists worldwide press freedom websites.

MediaChannel.org charts who owns the media.

Bill Moyers has a page on the history of media conglomeration.

I'm wondering why (or how) internet publishing and blogging is still free.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
