Graner finally charged

Specialist Charles A. Graner was charged with seven offenses, including conspiracy to maltreat detainees, dereliction of duty and adultery, Kimmitt told reporters in Baghdad. A military judge will arraign Graner on Thursday.
  Bloomberg article

Adultery? Adultery is a military crime?

Whatever. And come to think of it, that may be the only "crime" some of Bush's base will recognize.

The article seems to suggest that Graner has been charged on the basis of statements made by the first guy charged (Sivits). Another article I read claimed Graner's attorney doesn't believe those statements, as he doesn't think Graner is the "kind of guy" who would beat helpless prisoners. Oh really?
