Flip-flop

No, not Kerry.

President Bush reaffirmed the traditional U.S. position that a territorial settlement between Israel and the Palestinians must be the result of negotiations, not of unilateral action by Israel.

Bush said Thursday that he would soon lay out his vision of a "just peace" in a letter to Palestinians, a gesture that could help counter the impression among Arab leaders that the United States has prejudged the final outcome of Mideast peace negotiations in favor of Israeli positions and abandoned its role as an impartial broker.

Impression? Where would they get an impression like that?

Their meeting came three weeks after Bush caused a furor among Arab leaders by recognizing Israeli territorial claims to major parts of the West Bank and by supporting its position that Palestinian refugees should not expect to return to their former homes in Israel.

...Bush did not mention his previous endorsement of Israeli territorial claims or the denial of a right of return for Palestinian refugees.

No accountability. Just don't mention it.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
