I told you not to say "Bring 'em on".
Or, as Bob put it:
O'Neill concludes, "I can't imagine that I'll be attacked for telling the truth." Well Paul, tomorrow you won't have to imagine it. It will be reality.
Come on, Paul, you weren't with the National Security Council and the Treasury Department for all those years, and you haven't been watching the Bush administration mow down problematic people, without knowing the name of the game. In fact, the book you contributed to is titled The Price of Loyalty. So what gives?
The paybacks begin....
The US Treasury Department has called for an investigation into whether a former Bush government member leaked secret documents in his new book.
Former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill appeared on a US news programme to promote his book in which documents marked "secret" were shown.
A Treasury department spokesman said it had asked its inspector general to see if disclosure laws were violated.
Mr O'Neill was sacked from the US Government in December 2002. article
And the irony should not escape us should this leak investigation actually get wheels.
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
