What about al-Douri?

You just can't get enough, can you?

Okay, I will tell you.

[Lieutenant General Ricardo Sanchez] says U-S troops are closing in on Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, former vice chairman of Iraq's ruling Revolutionary Command Council. He promises his forces will be relentless in pursuit of al-Douri and all of their other targets.

...[Sanchez] is urging Saddam Hussein loyalists to lay down their arms and "embrace the future" of a sovereign Iraq....otherwise, opponents of the American-led coalition will end up either dead or in custody.

Ah, the continuing build-up. The saber's rattle.

Meanwhile, I haven't been telling you of the daily bombings and attacks and deaths. I don't think the opponents are listening to General Sanchez.

We have al-Douri's wife and daughter in custody, plus four nephews just recently. I expect we'll see him "captured" by June. The wife and daughter were arrested November 27. It was quietly reported in Australian papers on December 16 that al-Douri surrendered. The likely scenario is that, his health widely reported as being extremely bad (he was treated for leukemia several years ago - where's a fugitive going to get treatment?), he did surrender, in a deal intended to gain his family's release and possibly medical attention for himself. We'll pull him out when we most need him.

Oh yeah, we've never done anything like that before.

WAIT! Hold the presses!

We'll get him in (or around, as the attorneys say) early March. Maybe even the ides.

As his troops prepare to leave Iraq, the commander of the U.S. Army's 4th Infantry Division says his soldiers achieved more than expected but challenges remain ...The [Texas based] division, which arrived in April, is scheduled to leave Iraq in mid-March for neighboring Kuwait before returning home the next month. They will be replaced by the Germany-based 1st Infantry Division in the first troop rotation since the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq last March.   article

Emphasis mine.

Same group that "captured" Saddam. Woohoo! Go, Texas!

"I think al-Qaida and foreign fighters are trying to get involved in Iraq," Odierno said. "I think in the next six to eight months, they (will) start to really try to infiltrate the area."

What?!? Get involved? They haven't been? Al-Qa'ida has NOT been involved in Iraq? Surely he didn't mean that.

The arrest of Iraq's current most-wanted man, former vice President Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri, could be the final blow for pro-Saddam loyalists.

Mission accomplished. Again. Watch for it. Coming to a theater in Iraq soon.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
