...of what he charges to use the term "Mayberry Machiavellis"....
It's not mine -- I just stole it. It comes from a professor by the name of John DeIulio, who (briefly) advised Bush on social policy. After DeIulio quit, he gave a long interview to a writer for Esquire, in which he noted that the "Mayberry Machiavellis" in the White House political operation controlled EVERYTHING Bush said or did. It was generally seen as a dig at Karl Rove.
Thanks much, Billmon.
Jesus H. Christ on a bicycle, this blogging business is kind of like a dangerous occupation, innit? Lose your day job for taking pictures. Get yourself sued for being a wise-ass. Probably can't plug your favorite candidate in Virginia (in either sense of the word, no doubt.)
Now, I wonder if I have to ask DeIulio what he charges. Haven't got Al Franken's money to defend myself, you know. Maybe I'd better do some research to see if DeIulio's as sensitive as O'Reilly. Man, this blogging shit can get to be like work.
Christ, it started out to be fun.
....but hey, Billmon, you do what you want....you will anyway.
