Who is really behind the synagogue bombings?

JUST like with the bombings of Iraqis and other Arabs . . . which are blamed on 'al Qaeda' . . . this one smells of the Mossad. Please read an almost identical Mossad operation (very well documented) on our Iraqi Jews. --Margalit Cohen

PENDING the release of further reliable information, that was my initial opinion also. I remarked at once that if these were suicide blasts, then Islamic organizations would be behind them; if somebody merely parked the vehicles and detonated them from a safe distance, that had all the hallmarks of a Mossad operation. The car bomb has been their weapon of choice for at least the last twenty-five years. --David Irving

article

As I mentioned in an earlier post, there were reports that, while this was being called a suicide bombing, witnesses saw a driver walking away from the car just before the blast. I also remarked that truly, there is no way to 'fingerprint' an international terrorist action, as every agency and organization on that level knows the tactics of the others and can simply mimic them.

I can see it would be, at least on surface, difficult for Mossad to recruit someone to participate in a suicide bombing - but not impossible, as they would merely have to set themselves up under cover as Islamist terrorists. I am certainly not expecting a Mossad agent to blow himself up; therefore, I can understand Mr. Irving distinguishing this bombing from a suicide bombing. But also, it would not be impossible for an Islamist terrorist group to be parking cars and abandoning them - not every one of their recruits has to be suicidal.

Still, this is an article worth reading and thinking about.

One thing that brings this back to my attention is the following paragraph from Ms. Cohen:

The bombings in Iraq against Iraqis and especially the most recent blasts in Saudi Arabia killing Arabs are both Mossad templates. For the most part, Arabs don't kill Arabs in bomb blasts if it can be avoided.

That immediately retriggered my "red flag" reaction to the following statement in the supposed al-Qaeda statement regarding the blasts:

We admit that the cars of death that targeted the British bank were put in an inappropriate place, which caused some casualties among innocents, and this pains us tremendously, but the media must share our blame because we have repeatedly warned Muslims not to go anywhere near the diplomatic, economic or military headquarters of America and its allies; for our real war, which will begin soon, will have no boundaries and will show no mercy towards the tyrant of the era and his allies.

That apology somehow seemed strange to me. Something kind of smelled funny. The choice of wording - would they admit something was "inappropriate"? Something else is "not right" about it that I can't put my finger on. Somehow it doesn't fit, and seems more like something written by someone after the fact when people are starting to question who the real perpetrator might be.

And like I said in my earlier post, I always think CIA is involved. In this instance, I am willing to believe Mossad. (And here's an interesting page on Mossad.)

I don't know. Just something to consider.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
