I am no P.I., but

Thanks to Bob, again, more of the dots at least show up on the page. All I know is they connect. Khodorkovsky, it turns out, is an adivsor to the Carlyle Group.

Poppy Bush's retirement as an official of the Group was culminated by a speech in Moscow trying to get investors.

I sent a request to several people asking for some help sorting this picture out, but no one has taken me up on the offer. (Al Giordano, Billmon, Cursor, Josh Marshall) So, I'm not able to do much more than point to a few things and let you work at it on your own.

Want more on the Carlyle Group? Check here. In video format check here.

Background on Khodorkovsky from my previous posts:

Soros’ offices in Moscow raided;
Khodorkovsky aid granted Israeli citizenship;
Atrios commentary;
Putin denial of rumors he’s trying to renationalize Yukos assets;
some stuff I can’t verify about Russian-Israeli relations;
Al Giordano’s take on the Khodorkovsky arrest;
my initial reaction to the arrest
