Got money to get the schools running in Kentucky?

Remember that post?

"By using the shortened schedule, the district of 1,900 students in this western Kentucky farming and coal mining region hopes to save about 2 percent of its annual spending -- or $200,000 -- on bus service, substitute teachers and utilities. It is the first district in Kentucky to go to four days." article

My comment was: That doesn't need a comment.

Bob, via Nell:

Actually, it does deserve a comment!

How much money is it going to cost parents in terms of added daycare? Assuming they can find it? Hopefully, most of the parents are bus drivers and substitute teachers who will no longer be working those days anyway.

(Insert huge sarcasticon here.)

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
