Lighten Up!

Or grow up.

Absolut vodka recently pulled an ad it was running in Mexico showing Mexico as it was before the US got hold of it.

Absolut pulled the ad because of complaints - from Americans, of course, who found out about the ad even though it was never run in America - such as:

"I have poured the remainder of my Absolut bottles down the sink," one blogger wrote.

Brilliant. You just wasted a bunch of money, besides a bunch of vodka. Shades of the dumbshitz who poured out their French wine when the French government didn’t sign on eagerly to our invasion of Iraq. These people have already paid for the liquor they’re pouring out. How’s that hurt anybody but themselves?


....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.

  1. I'd like to think that, were Absolut a French company, the response to the complaints from the Norteamericanos would have been an even bigger and better ad, maybe one showing North America divided between Britain, Spain, and France.

    But, Sweden. Well, fifty Swedes jumped out of the weeds, chased by one Norwegian, you know.
