Less than a week after coming under fire for saying small-town Pennsylvanians "cling to" gun rights, Barack Obama picked up the endorsement of a pro-gun association that has backed Democratic candidates in the past. The American Hunters & Shooters Association said Obama's views of the 2nd Amendment have been unfairly criticized and its endorsement comes as Obama's opponents are characterizing him as an "elitist" and condescending towards gun-owners.
[...]
Ray Schoenke, the hunters association's president, cited Obama's support of an amendment to a Department of Homeland Security funding bill that would prevent the government from confiscating citizens' guns during an emergency. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Obama's opponent in the Democratic primary, and 16 other senators voted against the amendment.
It’s only fair to report that the NRA says the American Hunters & Shooters are an anti-gun lobby front.
I am not a gun fan, but I definitely think that’s an amendment that ought to be backed. And practically, speaking, I don’t think they’d be able to pull it off.
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
at least barack would be a much nicer face to look at for the next 4 years.

yes, if nothing else, that would be a great improvement, and i find it hard to imagine he could be worse at anything else, either. if i never see that arrogant, pissy, vacant, beady-eyed bush face again, i will have something to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteoh, i forgot - thin-lipped. a person without lips is a chicken. even when a person with lips gets narrow-eyed and nasty, their lips disappear.
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY. we didn't always think so much alike, did we???
