Given Hamilton's statement, Greenwald says "one of two things is true" about Mukasey's alleged call from an "Afghan safe house": either the White House concealed it from the 9/11 Commission, or Mukasey fabricated it "to scare and manipulate Americans into believing that FISA and other surveillance safeguards caused the 9/11 attacks..."
Or, three: the White House concealed it, and now Mukasey is using it to scare and manipulate Americans.
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.

ReplyDeletei assume you're talking about the bush administration...correct me if i'm wrong...and while, frankly, i would like to see them disappear from the face of the earth, leaving it a much better chance of survival, i am loathe to advocate taking anybody out and shooting them (except for myself, in moments of despair - or maybe boss-annoyance at work) even in order to save other lives, which is in fact the administration's (phony and manipulative) rationale for war crimes. in the alternative, i can't say i have a good solution, as jettisoning them into outer space would just eventually seriously screw up outer space, and we're already well on our way to doing that by all the junk we've put up there already.
keep thinking. maybe we'll come up with something.
