Marine's brother says he has been freed

He says he hasn't heard from reportedly captured, then reportedly beheaded, then reportedly not dead Marine Wassef Hassoun, but that he got a reassuring "sign" from him. The story now is that he is believed to be freed.

I'd say the confusion is in no small part due to the report that Cpl. Hassoun allegedly was deserting the Marines when captured. And that would explain why there was a "sign" from Hassoun and not a report from the U.S. military forces.
