The new Pentagon papers

So says Salon. (Provided free of the free day pass or subscription by MoveOn.org)

A high-ranking military officer reveals how Defense Department extremists suppressed information and twisted the truth to drive the country to war.

This is the Karen Kwiatski information, in case you haven't seen it. I don't know that it can be called "the new Pentagon papers", because it's been out for some time (even though it's just now a Salon article), and it hasn't seemed to spark any real scandal or even all that much interest. But, perhaps today's media and Congress are just so much more bought and paid for than they were in the days of Daniel Ellsberg's revelations about the Viet Nam war.
