It's global

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's cosmic, but we don't have a good view of the cosmos.

Simultaneous explosions killed 173 people and injured hundreds on packed trains in Madrid on Thursday in pre-election attacks called the bloodiest "act of terror" in European Union memory.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Spain insisted the Basque separatist group ETA was to blame for the 10 blasts at railway stations across Madrid.

It brushed aside suggestions the attacks were by Muslim militants angry at Spain's support for the U.S.-led war in Iraq.

"It is absolutely clear that the terrorist organization ETA was seeking an attack with wide repercussions," Interior Minister Angel Acebes told a hastily called news conference, dismissing speculation that any other group could be involved.

Oh, please. Can't we please blame the Muslims? Don't give up. It could be them.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
