You Say You Don't Believe In Conspiracy...

President Obama -- in what I think is one his most indefensible acts -- actually threatened to veto the entire intelligence authorization bill if it included a proposed bipartisan amendment (passed by the House) that would have mandated an independent inquiry into the FBI's anthrax investigation.

I’m sorry, I missed that at the time it happened. (You know – the anthrax letters immediately following 9/11 that put the fear of God into the few calm people remaining in this country.) Now what earthly reason would he have for wanting to thwart an investigation that might lead to the perpetrators of arguably the frosting on the cake creating a climate to guarantee the US could take out Iraq as a result of the 9/11 WTC attacks?

Indeed, the veto threat issued by the Obama White House was refreshingly (albeit unintentionally) candid about why it was so eager to block any independent inquiry: "The commencement of a fresh investigation would undermine public confidence in the criminal investigation and unfairly cast doubt on its conclusions."

Yeah, that’s what I thought. The conclusion that first tried to pin it on one man, and when they couldn't, they pinned it on a man who committed suicide right before being taken in for questioning. How convenient. It must have been him.

[D]espite continuously mounting evidence that we do not know anywhere close to the full story of who perpetrated this attack -- the country's political leadership continues to stonewall any efforts to find out.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
