[Original post regarding Hillary Clinton's announcement that we will recognize the TNC as the "legitimate" governing authority in Libya.] It appears that there were 31 other countries who had already decided to do just that. According to Juan Cole, the US was waiting "for signs [the TNC] was actually committed to democratic elections and was free of radical Muslim tendencies."
Yeah, right. Signs. Now we're sure. Christ on a cracker.
And P.S. Juan Cole must have taken more guff than he wanted, or maybe he's just one of those blinded by the SuperMan light in Obama's eyes, but he seems to be much more pro-government than he used to be. I would say it might be because he's trying to look less beligerent now that he knows the Bush administration was after him, but he's been this way since before he found that out.
.....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
