How do we know? If they are killed instantly, they are listed as dead. If not, they are listed as wounded. If they die later from their wounds, is the reported number of dead changed? From what I've been reading, it isn't. The reports keeping tally are apparently of those soldiers reported dead at the scene.
So, there could be many, many more deaths than we are seeing reported.
Anybody have any better information?
