According to new figures released by U.S. Census Bureau, 49.1 million — or 16 percent — of Americans are now living below the poverty line. The numbers are an increase from 2010, when the previous record was at 46.2 million (16 percent).
I’m assuming this is an underestimate simply because of the group of people who are outside the census bureau’s grasp – those people who live on the street.
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
