[...]as one would expect, health insurance stocks are soaring today in response to the industry-serving "health care reform" bill backed by the Democratic Senate and White House -- the same people who began advocating for "health care reform" based on the need to restrain on an out-of-control and profit-inflated health insurance industry .
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
Kill the bill. they just gutted it too much and like that article you posted (thanks, hadn't seen it) by Greenwald it's almost certainly all Obama wanted anyway.
ReplyDeletei keep wondering what will really happen when health insurance is mandated. will people not be able to register to vote, not be able to get their auto licenses renewed without proof of health insurance? jailed when they show up at the emergency ward?
ReplyDeletei see a big mess ahead.
but then i was always rather pessimistic.
that makes me think of something i thought was interesting. when i was living in mexico, some women there told me that they had to vote. if you don't vote, you can't put your kids in school. at the time i thought that was a federal thing, but it might have been regional or local. here, we don't want people voting. at least not most of them.
