Remember when Bush's appointee to his office of religion, John DiIulio, quit and called Wolfowitz (who was then Deputy Secretary of Defense), et al, Mayberry Machiavellis?
One Good Move Media has the Quicktime video of Jon Stewart on Wolfowitz' nomination to the World Bank presidency, back when that took place and Stewart was wondering just what qualified Wolfowitz for that position.
And now the discussion is whether the U.S. should be permitted to appoint the head of the World Bank. So, something good has come of it.
"The main issue is not whether Wolfowitz should go, but whether he should be there in the first place," said Eric Gutierrez, ActionAid International Policy Coordinator. source
While most headlines have the old combsucker on the rocks, the Boy Who Would Be King is so far sticking by his nominee, and some African finance ministers are supporting Wolfowitz, calling him a "visionary".
Will he go the way of Imus?
Stay tuned.
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
