Ambassador to Britain resigns

After only three years of service William Farish is coming home. I wonder if that recent call by retired diplomats encouraged this one? He leaves saying only good things and is claimed to be a family friend of the Bushes. But three years? That's a pretty quick trip, isn't it? I mean, especially for such a cushy assignment as Britain. And being a family friend doesn't necessarily make you corrupt. (Of course, being in the thoroughbred business, as he is, tilts the scales that way.) He gives the pat line for resigning under tense circumstances: he wants to spend more time with his family. Hell, he's only been on the job three years.

And may there be others to follow.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
