EU isn't bending

The little shit apparently, finally, can no longer bully or buy cooperation.

"NATO has the capability and I believe the responsibility to help the Iraqi people defeat the terrorist threat that's facing their country," Bush said.

Apparently NATO doesn't agree. The countries are willing only to train Iraqi security forces, not provide any, which is what the Brat King went after.

In their private talks and a joint U.S.-EU statement, European leaders made clear their disquiet over both the detention of terror suspects in Guantanamo Bay in Cuba and the U.S. military abuse of prisoners at Iraq's Abu Ghraib jail.

...As on Bush's previous trips to Europe, few on Ireland's street were ready to forgive and forget the U.S.-led invasion....The whistling and jeering was a sharp contrast to the jubilant welcomes usually afforded American presidents.

He dismissed the lack of cooperation and high degree of contention as only he can do.

"As far as my own personal standing goes, my job is to do my job," he said. "I will lead, and we'll just let the chips fall where they may."

No matter who they fall on, because he's obvious quite confident that he won't get hit. Being involved in arborist work over the past few years has given me this vision: The ignorant, arrogant brat king leading a huge brush chipper across the globe sucking everything in behind him and spitting out the chips.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
