Slow to convince

Majority of Americans Now Call Iraq War a Mistake

Keeping in mind my aversion to polls, the latest figures are that the percentage of Americans who think the war was a mistake has jumped from 41% to 54% in the last three weeks. That's a huge jump.

Gee, I wonder what convinced them? Abu Ghraib? Would it not have been a mistake if they'd never seen those pictures?

Perhaps the 9/11 report that said there's no connection between Saddam and bin Laden? (Which is going to be corrected to make it clear that they meant only as concerns the WTC attacks.)

And apparently, we now have a majority of people who think the war has made us less safe. Ah, the obvious begins to sink in.
