Another revealing book set to come out

In May, Joseph Wilson's book will be on sale. It's titled: "The Politics of Truth," and reveals who Wilson thinks gave his wife's name to Novak. I would have assumed he thinks it's Karl Rove, since he made the statement immediately after Novak's column came out that he would take great pleasure in seeing Karl Rove "frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs" (I love that phrase), but later he apparently said Rove condoned the leak.

There also is some information in the book about Novak that is supposed to be new and revealing. In some of the articles I have read recently about Haiti, Novak's name came up in a very unflattering way, which I cannot precisely recall at this moment - and don't you just hate that kind of tease? - but if it turns up again, I'll certainly let you know.

First O'Neill, now we're waiting for Wilson's and Richard Clarke's books. From Digby:

Richard Clarke , the former NSC counterterrorism expert from Bush I, Clinton and 2 years plus of Bush II is publishing his insider book [hits shelves next month] that takes no prisoners. Word is that Rove is very afraid of what Clarke has to say -- particularly because Clarke was the August 6 2001 briefer of Bush, and there is a good deal about how he got told never to raise such matters again with Bush. Book will get big play. Richard Clarke knows where all the bodies are buried.

The close collaborator with Richard Clarke -- going back to Bush I at NSC was Rand Beers -- who quit last summer in disgust, and walked down the street and volunteered his services to Kerry , where he has been ever since. Beers eventually drew Joe Wilson into the Kerry camp... To put it mildly, Kerry is not going into battle unarmed and with pacifist intents. If Bin Laden's been warehoused for use in October -- these are the guys who know it, and know who else knows.

That "next month" becomes this month now.

Stay tuned.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
