Saddam Hussein is being detained in the Baghdad region and will stand trial in Iraq, Muaffak al-Rubaie, a member of Iraq's interim Governing Council, told a news conference on Wednesday. article
I wonder if Muffak knows what he's talking about.
"It has not been decided if (Saddam Hussein) is a prisoner of war who benefits from the rights of the Geneva convention and that of The Hague, or if he will be accused of crimes against humanity, in which case he will lose these rights," Rubaie said.
Well, apparently I need to bone up on my prisoner/war criminal rights.
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
