You want paper? We'll give you paper.

But it's gonna cost you.

Those Diebold memos that were posted on the internet and caused such a stink? I thought it turned out to be a bad move on Diebold's part to pursue it so hardily, because 1) they simply gained publicity for something that might not otherwise have been widely seen, 2) they ended up getting counter-sued for harrassment.

Now I see why they might have gotten panicked about the memos. I'd seen some info about a few of them before, and while they talked about possible bugs in the program, they didn't seem all that incriminating. They weren't saying the bugs were there intentionally for purposes of fraud - they were just discussing some things that might need to be fixed.

But, here's a good one. I think this puts a little darker shade on the color...

An e-mail found in a collection of files stolen from Diebold Elections Systems' internal database recommends charging Maryland "out the yin-yang," if the state requires Diebold to add paper printouts to the $73 million voting system it purchased..."any after-sale changes should be prohibitively expensive."  article

Ooooh.

...but hey....do what you want...you will anyway...
