A great big thanks to TJ at POAC for forwarding this link. It's a short video clip of Col. Hickey telling the troops who had just "captured" Hussein exactly what had just happened and what they were permitted to say: zilch.
Here's the accompanying text from the web owner, Alex Jones (owner also of Prison Planet, who goes a little far out for me, generally speaking as an information source, but I'm loathe to write off anything as conspiracy nut stuff - that's how some good information gets swept under the rug):
It sounds to me that Hickey is giving them what turned out to be the official story before warning them to shut up about what really happened. Why would Hickey need to tell them that he was found 'literally hiding in a hole' if they had found him? They would already know this. This is consistent with reports claiming Saddam was handed over to the US by Kurdish militia on November 20-23.
I assume what he means by "consistent with" is that the appearance is this was a staged event, and the troops are getting their orders here; therefore, it is possible that the Kurdish hand-over in November is true.
Just because the troops are told not to say anything doesn't prove anything except the powers are really trying to control news, and the military never likes to have soldiers talking (and they wouldn't necessarily know what they were talking about anyway). And Hickey may have had to tell these particular troops what he did because they weren't the ones who actually hauled Saddam out of the hole - that would be an important piece of information to have in making inferences on what this video says. He also says that Saddam was "living like a pig". If nothing else, he is definitely feeding these guys the chosen emotional tone he wants this to have.
I sure would like to know just what did happen, and when. It's bound to be a hell of a lot more interesting than the official story.
