I've said the same thing myself

I figure we'd still be getting deeper and deeper into a hell that we would have no possibility of getting out of had Gore become president, because I don't think he would have screwed things up so badly, and therefore, all this stuff coming to light could have stayed hidden. The thing I suspect at this point is that whoever is chosen to replace Bush, if that happens, will be more likely to simply return things to the dark. That's because I no longer have the faith in Americans to think we want to know the truth. If we know the truth about our world dealings, then we might be forced to admit they need to be stopped. And we appear to be too comfortable with the lies.

We should all thank George Bush for making things so bad Americans can’t ignore it any longer.

The article is concerned with Bush's attack on the Constitution being so arrogant and "in your face" that it can't be ignored, but it's my contention that the same thing can be said of all his foreign and domestic policies.

Life's kind of like that. If you try to suppress something, it will eventually become very, very ugly. Best to deal with it before it gets to that point. In this case, though, we've been complacent and let other people tend to our interests - which of course they have simply shelved in favor of their own.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
