It just gets better all the time

What with the efforts to train an Iraqi army going south, I suppose, the CIA is going to create an Iraqi intelligence agency.

Badran and Ayad Alawi, leader of the INA, are spending much of this week at CIA headquarters in Langley to work out the details of the new program. Both men have worked closely with the CIA over the past decade in unsuccessful efforts to incite coups against Saddam Hussein. The agency and the two men believe they can effectively screen former government officials to find agents for the service and weed out those who are unreliable or unsavory, officials said.  article

Because they have been so successful in that regard in the past.

Let's use Saddam's people to oppose Saddam.

I am so confused here. I thought we were risking the slaughter of innocent Iraqi citizens in order to kill Saddam's officers.

I give up.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.

(Do you ever get the feeling that we've gone into the Outer Limits of Toon Town?)
