Hey! It worked!

In a surprise announcement to the White House press corps, US president Geroge Bush said Colonel Muammar Qadhafi had agreed, after nine months of secret dealings with Washington and London, to destroy all of his weapons of mass destruction.

"With today's announcement by its leader, Libya has begun the process of rejoining the community of nations," said Bush.

My friend Tom sent me a link to a forum where the news of this was posted thusly:

Cowboy diplomacy succeeds again posted by: The Yellow Rose of Texas

And the reply was:

Sun rises in the east...yellow rose credits cowboy diplomacy.

Just because you kick the tires and the car starts, it doesn't mean kicking the tires had anything to do with starting the car.

Whatever the reason, and I have a feeling we'll never know, since those negotiations were "secret dealings", it could be good news. It could be b.s., too. But I wish Dufus hadn't come right out and said so...

Bush made clear, however, that he and Blair were not yet prepared to take the Libyan leader entirely at his word.  article

He and Blair. The special relationship is back on, I guess. They're holding hands on the top of the hill. Jack and Jill. You figure which is which.

Let's take a look at Israel, and Pakistan. And you know, I just find the whole thing so damned disgusting - a certain few countries, who shall remain nameless, are permitted to have WMD - but only them. King of the effing mountain. Father knows best.

Snakevomit.

"When you write it, call it the fall of the house of Bush."

When can I write it?

Let freedom ring. In every corner of the world. Freedom from want. Freedom from fear. Freedom from hunger. Freedom from religion. Freedom from economic exploitation. Freedom from coercion. Freedom to self-govern. Freedom from what used to be the USofA, and is now WarProfiteers, Inc.

But we are so much safer - excuse me, more safe. ("Colonel Qadhafi's commitment, once it is fulfilled, will make our country more safe and the world more peaceful." - Guess who.) I feel safe now. And it was worth every last brown life we had to take to get here. And I know we will rout out the evildoers wherever they hide. I'm going to sleep now. The sleep of the privileged. The sleep of the secure.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
