I know you already knew that, and you're thinking the White House and the Taliban. And you're right. But add another:
Taiwan's vice president provoked uproar among gay rights campaigners and politicians after suggesting AIDS was God's punishment for homosexuality.
Annette Lu made the controversial comments on television at an AIDS awareness event on Monday.
"God felt it's time to mete out punishment, or there would not be any difference between men and animals," Lu said, urging the public to practise safe sex. article
Did you understand that? She's confused the hell out of me. (I know, easy to do.) What have animals got to do with safe sex between humans? I'm afraid to know the answer to that. But go ahead and tell me.
The Presidential Office expressed regret over the report, saying the comments had been misinterpreted.
"Instead, Vice President Lu asked the public not to discriminate against AIDS patients," the office said in a statement.
Hey. Just like they have to do here with Georgie Foot-in-mouth Bush. What he meant to say... What he acutally said....
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
