Elizabeth corrected him, saying he'd still have trainers outside of Iraq. School of the Americas? He tried to patch that up. Will he leave her home next time?
....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.

Inching Forward
In Iowa, John Edwards says he wants to remove all US troops who are training Iraqi soldiers and pull out all troops of any kind except a few thousand to protect the embassy (and maybe some humanitarian groups) within 10 months of becoming president. He must be feeling some encouragement in his chances. Or maybe he figures he's a goner, so why not make promises? At any rate, the idea of removing training troops seems simple. Couldn't we have trained trainers as part of the initial program so that we no longer have to keep our own trainers there?
