Insane McCain Campaign

This is an old clip from the Daily Show, on the Republican primary debate, but I only just saw it. What in the name of Sam Hill is happening with John McCain? At least watch the end of the clip where McCain says he'll follow bin Laden to the Gates of Hell. It's totally bizarre - not just the statement, but the expressions he makes during and immediately after it, prompting Jon Stewart to ask, "Has McCain been replaced by the animatronic version of himself?"

Steve Benen at TPM reports that three of McCain's campaign people have quit. Probably not an unwise decision on their part.

He also says that Tim Russert asked McCain about that Baghdad Market fiasco this morning on Meet the Press, and McCain said he'd be happy to go back to that market "with or without military protection and Humvees, etc."

Well, hey, go ahead on with your bad self, John. Without all that protection this time. The man makes a fool of himself and "stays the course". Now that would be a change in presidency from what we have now, wouldn't it?

The man has snapped the bonds of sanity.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
