Referendum on Democracy

Today Venezolanos are at the polls to determine whether their president, Hugo Chávez, stays in office.

Ah, yes. Look to Washington.

Today is a big day for Venezuela. How will participatory democracy fare? Wait and see. But it won't end here. Power and greed are not neutralized at the polls. Nor will they be so here in November.
