Presidential Auction 2004

WTF?

First they campaign together in Iowa - now in Oregon.

Like sparring partners kept just out of each other's reach, President Bush and Democratic challenger John Kerry took jabs at each other from just a few miles apart on a trip to Oregon that turned into a small battle for media attention for familiar messages.

Bush spoke only to the Republican faithful at two small events for business leaders and campaign volunteers while Kerry was flanked by rocker Jon Bon Jovi and movie star Leonardo DiCaprio at a downtown rally on the Willamette River that attracted a crowd estimated in the tens of thousands.

Television coverage by the four network affiliates in Portland overlapped at one point, causing station managers to switch between events in an effort to balance live broadcasts without resorting to videotape replays of one of the appearances.

This can't be coincidence that they are scheduling their campaigns in the same cities at the same time.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
