The Legend of Bernie Madoff

Bernard Madoff went from a $7 million penthouse to a tiny jail cell with cinderblock walls and linoleum floors after confessing he carried out what may be the biggest fraud in Wall Street history to escape the pain of a recession.

Perhaps Bernie had no need to “have a heart attack” a la Ken Lay since Bernie did not have direct connections to the Bush family?

"I cannot adequately express how sorry I am for what I have done," he said just before Chin ordered him to prison to await a June 16 sentencing when he will face up to 150 years in prison.

Yeah, so sorry he continued doing it for a decade and would still be doing it if he hadn’t gotten busted. And where is all that money? Reports are the very rich people, who thought it was all fine and good while they were raking in the suspicious dough, were ready to lynch him at the courthouse. He even wore a bullet-proof vest. Although two of his investors took their own lives.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
