McConnell Gets His Chain Yanked

You may recall that in a previous post titled "A New Bush Lie," I reported that Bush claimed the Dems in Congress weren't coming up with a wiretapping bill he could sign, while the Dems reported that indeed Bush's DNI, Mike McConnell, had worked out an agreed upon bill with them which is what they sent to Bush for signature. I quoted Bush as having said that when Congress finally comes up with something better, he'll ask McConnell the question,
"Is this what you need to do your job, Mr. DNI? That's the question I'm going to ask. And if the answer is yes, I'll sign the bill. And if the answer is no, I'm going to veto the bill."

I then challenged you to come up with Bush's next question for "Mr. DNI". If you logically came up with the question, "Would you like to change the story to back up my lie, Mr. DNI?" you were on the money, because that's just what McConnell has done.

....but hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
