Fred Thompson in 2008

Despite records to the contrary, Thompson is currently denying that he lobbied Bush 41 for pro-choice policies.

Steve Bennen's comment is:

Getting away with lobbying for a pro-choice client is an awkward hurdle. Getting caught lying about it can dog a presidential campaign for quite a while.

Maybe, but I see it a bit differently. Look at the current administration's record of lying - flat out lying, easily disproved. It works.

....and hey, do what you want....you will anyway.
